Help me reminisce

Hi,
I joined habbo in late 2004, I think my main habbo years were 2005-2007, although I think I may have had a small return, I can remember things like mood lighting, habbo X's ending and habbo club getting a longer cycle if anyone can date that - maybe it's in that time frame. Ever since then I've been periodically popping back for a good dose of nostalgia. I've been trying to find out if my estimate of those years is right by dating them against memorable events, I'm wondering if anyone who remembers can help indulge my nostalgia with anything I might have forgotten

I remember hobbas and wanting to be one, then Habbo X's and wanting to be one, sadly neither happened
One of the big stand out events in my mind I think was Christmas 2005 with the whole elves vs reindeer thing which I really enjoyed. I also have memories of big brother like events such as the Always campaign and a foggy memory of some big brother like game in a public room, an island maybe? Also a valentine event where heart badges were given out by people who would either kiss or kick you once you got into a room, I got in a few times but always for a kick
A strange memory was new public rooms like an outdoorsy asian room which had a pier that people thought a boat would arrive at, leading to many false predictions of it's imminent arrival
Controversies I remember were the green pillow that was mysteriously released for only a few hours and one of I think several hacking scares but this one was about dutch hackers? It was always quite funny to see people pretending to be hackers "Oh I can see all your stuff, what nice furni you have".

What is everyone else's memories of that time?

Dutch hackers, you probably mean Finch-himself. He broke into housekeeping and what not in 2007.

EDIT: If he means those two Dutch hackers that were actually arrested and taken to court a few years back... they were not Finch-HIMself... I don't even know if Finch was Dutch?... He owns a very popular English-Speaking forum about Server Deployment...

I think you're right - Reindeer and elf Christmas campaign was 2005...

I joined in January 2001 but I didn't really start playing until late October 2003... my main memories are things like:
- Hobbas, and the account: "Moderator" that use to do most of the in-room moderation by herself (With help of the hobbas of course)!
- Scripting: FurniturePhotos/ColouredStickies/FI Posters/VariousErrorMethods(MostlyTradingBasedErrors)/FakeFurniInTrade/Blue&Gold Pods/Green&Yellow&Blue BearRugs/ArmyPlastos...
- The old publicrooms and minigames (WobbleSquabble/LidoDiving)
- The old guestroom games (Kickwars/DoormatWobbleSquabble/FallingFurniture/Gambling)
- I miss the SnowStorm/Battleball rooms although they came much later...
- I miss the old competitions when they made sense (The Article on Monday - win a typo/Funky Friday and the occasional VIP Guest)
- I miss the old badge selection (When there was just: Admin, HobbaGold, HobbaSilver, HC-Normal, HC-12Months, VIP... and that was it basically?... Then later a few rare ones came out like the xmas/afro/writing-competition ones... then it went crazy! )
- I miss the old furniture selection as well... I like SOME of the new furniture but there's FAR TOO MUCH now!
- I miss the old clothing/colouring... then new colouring is horrible (Even with VIP colours) and the new clothing accessories make all rooms that are full of Habbos look messy and lame.
- I miss the old trading values... (Especially for HC Sofas) they use to make so much more sense.
- ... and the many, Many, MANY other things I can't remember at the moment....

But most of all, I miss the people! My old friends/rivals (In games)/staff! Miss 'em all so much.
