    It's disgusting stereotyping and they'd be the first to complain if it was females being denied a job. I remember someone who worked in childcare saying that "the women took care of the dirty nappies, the men weren't allowed." Personally, I'd be like yay thank God for that but the implication that every man in childcare is a peadophile is just horrible labels. No wonder there's a shortage!

    Absolutely ridiculous that people still think male + child = paedo. There is statistically a massively higher chance that a female is a child abuser than a male, and it's through ignoring these things that such stigmas get placed on the wrong people and victims are put even more at risk

    I think it's something people really need to be educated on. Like, it's not the first time I've gotten it and I know it's something I'm going to have to get used to if I'm going to progress in the field. Some places are crying out for them though! Last year there were 72 people in the childcare class and I was the only male! There's a massive shortage. Guys if ye filled out the survey I'll give you your rep
