pictures of yourself as avatars / sigs

People generally just keep pictures of themselves in the papoy thread.

yeah, but why can't i have that as a sig? it's just like someone having a celebs body except i'd rather have my own?

I'd rather see someones face than a picture of a celebrity... Or in my case my dog :p. I'm really nosey so I like to know at least who I'm talking to. I don't want to see 1D or any other over rated boy band/singer as to me that sort of avatar screams a certain kind of stereotype, as bad as that sounds . I'd want my avatar to be me, and that should be everyones individual choice, if someone wants a picture of a celeb thats their choice and as long as the avatars of ourselves are PG, whats the problem? Maybe a new poll should be brought out so the 'community' can decide.

Not many people seem to be bothered so there's no need to do a poll at the moment.

I can't see why we're not allowed to have it... I mean, why are we allowed to have pictures of ourselves as our profile page picture then?

I mean, some people might not want to see people's faces plastered across the forum (why?), and fair enough... In that case, I don't want to see One Direction/Justin Bieber/Anything else that like, can we have that put in force if we get enough support? I didn't think so

If people aren't bothered by having people in profile pictures, that doesn't mean we should keep it the same as it is now...

If anything do a poll as it will be interesting to see what the view on it is in 2013 than what it has been for the past 9 years.
