Oh ok i've just tested it and only 3 will appear on the homepage even if they are small, don't know where I got that idea from, but on the actual page for it you will get more depending on size.

the linking would probably work though yes

I agree that not many will fit. But how will you link to the rest of the guides if they are all different news articles? Surely you'd have X links for the X articles?

Ahh, I see. The news system on the front page is just 3 articles isn't it? Not based on length? If so, I guess you'll just change 3 up to 4/5?

Not based on length at all.

What we have at news is that you can choose which news you want to see. We currently have:

Widgets for news and real life news.

Also if you go on the site, go on the news tab you can click either 'All News,' 'Habbo,' 'Real Life,' 'Interviews,' 'Room Reviews' and 'Articles,' so it'd be on there too I believe if it was to be a part of the News department.

Whoever it was suggesting the forum idea isn't so bad, only thing is it'd be very similar to what gets posted in news & rumours already, but then again the same could be said if its posted on the site. As I said earlier I think a new section on the site with two different categories would work. One category for current badges, one for expired and they can be moved to expired category when the campaign is over.

All it'd take for the actual guide is something like below because that's all anyone will be interested in. Example for the latest badge

Habbo Environment Day Badge


Step 1: Go to this room

Step 2: Wear the Butterfly Effect

Step 3: Walk into the Wheat Patches

Step 4: Receive badge!

Include 2 images


and hey presto done

I agree with the last sentence, thus no department has the upper hand and I do see the problem with the stickying, hopefully somewhere in the near but distant future there's an easier way to display more than 3 articles on the homepage.

Well on a widget, when somebody clicked the link for "Guide X" I would rather have it pop up the answers in a small box than an entirely new page, although I don't know what V6 widget boxes are capable of doing.

Im actually more coming onto the idea (or did I already say this idk) that you could create a sub-division thus allowing both content and news to participate in it. I don't think I'm allowed to say what this was, but a year or so ago, all news, GFX and I think content staff were invited to take part in a project - they all shared the same subforum, saw the same info and had the same perms in there. The project never got completed (I'm not sure why, maybe lack of interest from staff) but the system worked fine. People still held their original content/gfx/news roles but could work together on something.

same can't REALLY be said for the site though. A lot of people use the news & rumours excuse from hxf but the thing is most of our readers don't actually use the forum and so aren't affected by it and again this would quite possibly be the case with a number of people who would be attracted by the new guides stuff.

i think due to it being small reports unlike the others you probably would fit about 4/5 onto homepage.

No, that's where things go wrong and look messy. Need to get some staff who regularly do the events, as everyone on here uses Habbo secrets at the moment!

yea I'm not completely sure how much more useful that would be then just a subsection in news in all honestly, which could just be done instead of that, especially cause it'll need to be done off news perms to post it probably anyway.

Ahh, ok The only think I dislike about that system, is that you will have to scroll through the whole page to find the one you want. There won't be something like:

habbo secrets has now shut tho which is why we need to try and take the niche as quick as possible
