Why would it matter what their username is?
So people don't create their own accounts? :S

Like I said, I have 19 and have no idea who they were from. People might have got it from something you said in a room, or because of a bot/wired message/name/desc ad in your room, and put you as referrer - that doesn't mean you know them .

You need to give Chris the username as well.

I saw Chris asking someone for the username, I think in one of the question/queries threads, I'm assuming so that he can go and check that user and their join date+referrer.

I put the members username in the token issue reason so that its easy to keep track of if we ever need to go back and look.

Well I don't know everyone who referred me. Last time I checked which was ages ago I had like 20. Now I have 24.

In the past when I was quite active on the client I would often tell people to sign up and explain the steps to those who asked. (Very) rarely I asked people to put myself as their 'referrer' as it doesn't benefit me whatsoever. However I somehow have several referrals and that's because I have advertised HxF and therefore people have put me as their referrer.

Referral comps in the past have often been abused so it makes sense to have some sort of check in place rather than making it automatic.

Not saying make it automatic, could have them checked, but no need for a username? idk...

Or have it automatic but the person you referred needs to confirm their account and make 5 posts or something if you can do that.
