ESO VS. Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn

So woke up today to find that Zenimax has released an official announcement stating that Elder Scrolls Online will have a $15 a month subscription fee.
Final Fantasy XIV is about to be released; I've pre-ordered it and beta-tested it in Phases 3 & 4. I requires a $5 subscription fee.
After hearing this, which game will you end up playing? Just curious to find out if other people think ESO shot themselves in the foot with the fee.
