are the effects of watching a romantic movie the same for gay people

This seems like a really weird question to me :S

If you take this and turn it around (straight people watching gay couples), the effects are the same. Or they are for me anyway. For example, I am an avid fan of Torchwood and I actually think Jack + Ianto were *cry* the cutest couple in the world

yes but it's more about love and the hetero idea of it is just like because it's seen as the norm and stuff

like i think some romantic films r adorable and i have the same reactions (IF NOT IM MORE EMOTIONAL) than my friends

Well, you tend to imagine yourself in place of the girl.

That said, it's not same I don't think as an actual gay love story (ie Brokeback).
