Annoying Sound

Soo, when I boot up my PC (Windows 8.1, but I THINK it started happening when on 8), after a few minutes I get this annoying round of applause noise, and I can't work out what is making it :L

Any thoughts?

Afraid not - no start up sound, and it seems to happen a minute or two after signing on :S

boot up your computer and bring up event viewer

and see if anything comes up when the sound plays

I reckon it's an application start up sound
similar to skypes annoying gasp sound it makes when it starts up

It's a virgin media advert on skype

The good news is, I have discovered what it was! Some random program, that I don't even know why I have it.
