A while ago when the Rare was released I sent a message to Habbo on the Habbo Customer Support page to see if a badge came with it and funnily got a reply today which says:

They did the same thing with the Golden Apple rare, didn't include a badge but was given out a week or so later. We shall see

I got the badge but I didn't buy the rare... I have traded for one though, odd.

They probably looked at who owns them now rather than who bought one, maybe?

Possibly. Would be a pretty poor way of sorting it though.

Yeah.. I guess we won't know until someone, if anyone, says they bought it from catalogue before selling it on, and didn't receive the badge.
