Default Windows 8 - Unable to 'sleep'

Ok so basically, if I put my computer (it's an iMac with Windows 8 running on Boot camp - previously Windows 7 but then upgraded) on sleep it does that fine. But when I wake it from sleep, within 30 seconds it'll crash (blue screen error) OR sometimes reboot without any prior notice. The error almost always says 'nvhda64v.sys' at the end. I've been trying to find a solution for ages but nothing I've found so far has worked so any suggestions would be appreciated .

What I really don't want to have to do is a clean install of Windows 7 and then upgrade to a Windows 8 again!

I assume you've seen the number of sites that mention it looks like it's caused by the nVidia HD Audio driver?

I saw solutions relating to the nVidia graphics drivers but nothing really relating to audio - I'll have a look for that, thanks .
