anyway ppl saying gifts mean nothin rly annoy me, christmas isnt only about receiving gifts but also about GIVING gifts, i like to give gifts to show my love and also like getting gifts because it means theyve thought about me and what would make me happy... surely thats important and part of the christmas spirit

no it's about a lot of things
anyway i see my family a hell of a lot, so like cameron said, w/o gifts, decorations and movies it just would seem 'ordinary'.
although gifts make me extremely anxious (esp. giving them. i mean i know my gift is fabulous but i still worry that it won't be good enough) and opening them is just as bad because i am gr8ful for everything and usually really love the majority but my face usually looks so people don't think i like it/appreciate it when i really do

The MAIN reason of Christmas is about celebrating the birth of baby jesus and the wise men giving the gifts and thats essentially where the giving of gifts at christmas got commercialized, its unfortunate that alot of people forget that, even if they don't celebrate it.
