    Question Are iPods waterproof? :-(

I just bought a new iPod about 3 weeks ago.

I just got back from the gym and did laundry.

Who can guess where this is going?

I forgot my iPod was in my gym shorts and put them through the wash. I'm currently waiting for the washing cycle to finish so I can check on my iPod :-P

Has anyone ever done this to an electronic device before? Did it survive?

    Cheers :-P

Err, i'm guessing you know the answer. My iPod Classic went through the washing machine and never opened its light eyes again.

    Nope.
It depends how long it has been submerged into water.
Dropping it in a sink or down a toilet bowl will have a high chance if you don't switch it on.
Leaving it on a heater for 48 hours usually fixes the problem.
If it has been in the washing machine though, it will eventually corrode the internal boards and break in the future even if it does work now

I've heard putting it in rice dries it out? Best seeing if you can claim on the insurance, providing you have it
