I'm not saying that she doesn't have a life to live, of course she does - but my mum would be furious if I gave up/ruined my life for hers.

I am very aware that it isn't all about me, but my mum isn't selfish enough to have me ruin my life for her - just as I wouldn't be if I were to ever have children.
