They should revoke all of the HC subscriptions with NO refund as punishment.

And nothing else for deliberately going against the T&C with a third party program?

Many people were ignorant to the fact that they would be punished, it wouldn't be fair to perm ban everyone for exploiting something that was made possible by the site itself. Let this be a lesson for Sulake (or whoever owns Habbo right now) that they should buff up security on their site.

Most people are until it happens, with anything. Okay, the security could be better - but at the end of the day everyone agreed to the terms & conditions (whether they read them or not), most should be aware of the rules and whether they thought they would be punished or not doesn't change that.

When you break rules, punishment tends to follow. With it occurring on such a large scale also, it's not particularly hidden well.

Now if I found a way of manipulating an online banking system so I could go and credit my account with several million £, I don't deserve to be punished accordingly for that? Not every site can be 100% safe against exploits and such and it is certainly not always Sulake's fault. Just because you can mess around with an error they haven't rectified, it doesn't mean you should nor does it justify those actions.

Those people deserve to remain banned.

I agree that there should be a punishment. Obviously it was the wrong of them to exploit it. However, I'm not sure the punishment should be a perm ban. It seems quite severe for the amount of people who fell victim to it or were told about it by someone to do it. Ignorance isn't an excuse, but it should be taken into account. It is one of the reasons children cannot be held accountable by the law. Habbo is mostly made up and children, and most children are not aware of the magnitude of their actions. Therefore, as I said, the punishment should be to revoke all the HC subscriptions (obviously) and not offer a refund. If they are going to ban people, it shouldn't be for 10 years.

Oh sorry I wasn't trying to say I supported a permanent ban woops, I do also believe the ban shouldn't be as long as it is due to the reasons you've stated. I still think a couple of months at least so they can really learn from their actions, but yes 11 years is far too extreme for some Simply only revoking their HC doesn't seem enough considering some of them were fairly rich Habbo users who could just buy many more months as soon as they login haha

bought a year of hc by using a program to change things within habbo? Ban them for a year.
Just my opinion --- if it was more of a glitch then it'd be different. But as far as I'm aware you took advantage of something by using a program or whatever.

I agree, if it was just a glitch then there shouldn't be any bans necessary.

To all those who downloaded and used whatever program this is, Sulake have every right to suspend you from having access to your account for as long as they wish, and rightly so.

That's true to an extent, but on Habbo.com everyone should be 13 or older and that's old enough to know that what you're doing is wrong.

    Not online very often
