Fairy Fails - Ends 12th January

After reading Rumpelstiltskin the other day I realised just how silly he actually was. If you're interested in reading it, check it out here. At one point in the story he offers to spin straw into gold for a miller's daughter so she could impress the Prince, but he only does it if she gives him her first born child. She agrees and once it's all done, she has a child with the Prince and refuses to give it away. He says he'll forget about the whole deal if she manages to guess his name. The Queen sends a messenger out to collect all names in the village so she has a variety to guess from, but the messenger finds Rumpelstiltskin dancing around a fire chanting his name. What an idiot.

What I'd like you to do is find something silly someone has done in any fairy tale that you have watched or read.

I think Cinderella, while a very touching classic, is kinda silly in the way that the prince must travel all over the kingdom to find her, and only can identify her through if the slipper fits? Like seriously, im sure there are a dozen people will the same size foot a her and if he really loved her, wouldn't he recognize her face not her freaking foot?

Either that or Rapunzel - Keeping all that hair is just, difficult, and letting some dude climb up through your window when you hardly know him? Sure he SAYS his a prince..but i mean, he could ACTUALLY be a creeper, you know.

In Rapunzel, the prince asks Rapunzel to let her hair down so that he can grab her hair, and use it as a rope to climb to the top. What kind of dumbass thinks that a bunch of hair attached to a girl's head is going to support his whole body until he reaches the top?!

The little mermaid

Well firstly, she wants to be a human instead of a mermaid, so she obviously has some issues to start with.
Then sings to a unconscious boy, and decides to take two eels word to visit a fat octopus woman.
Gives her her voice which is ridiculous because how are you meant to speak as a human, so now shes a non speaking human.
Then when Eric is due to get married she was going to stand for it and let it be. COME ON ARIEL WHERES THE SENSE IN THIS?
