What does this mean? Are you saying the VIP area is merged with the host area? I don't understand why this thread has even come up, because it suggests event organisers are struggling with the most simple ideas

Well in my rooms I like to have the VIP area connected to the queue so it's just a seated area not so much a VIP area. So people just say exit to leave and they're at the end of the queue or effectively 1 step away from the VIP area. And then I have a separate box area for the host to sit in.

And that's how I understand it should be.

I personally don't think a code is needed as long as there's a seating area for people for people to actually sit and watch the game (although nine times out of 10 people just go into that area to afk). I think sometimes the event takes so long to actually start because there's quite a few people going into the area to watch rather than actually play. I know when I advertise events on the radio I go down to to the event and it doesn't actually start till half past, in some cases anyway.

It's been gone since Hayden was the EM. People now either have an open events room or a gate that lets you in at the start of the queue. This could honestly be my imagination, as this rule was already in place when I joined, but I do tend to see more staff playing games with the community than being in the VIP nowadays.

Yes either walking straight through into the VIP area or via a teleporter, as long as everyone can access it. People aren't actually meant to be in the host area (well when I was there) except the host - but I think that rule got adjusted for only if you're hosting a game which involves a die as you can pretty much be guaranteed one of the host's friends will roll it for the lolz.

And I'm glad Lewis hasnt overturned the rule.

Obviously not because I went into a room where the only way you could get into the 'VIP' area is by saying hostarea or something like that, so all you've done is make it even more 'friends only' area rather than anyone who knows the habboxvip code..

Well that shouldn't be the case and you should send me a PM of what event it was and who by, so I can sort it out.
