I did actually once joke about this with someone i said : "the way habbo is going they'll prob release the throne next."

Reasons why they might:
1, Money for them which is all they are interested in
2, they appear to like ruining people big time
3, they released stuff before like orange parasol, snowglobe, speakers corner etc.

Reason why its unlikely:
1, Its been said they will never come out cause it was a pressie from Ione. Its written somewhere on website.
2, the throne is the "currency" for the hotel
3, trading would be impossible/ruined unless your prepared to sit there all day putting 500 hc in for a super rare
4, many will leave if it does happen

Ok the main reason they would do it is for money. Loads would buy the throne. However they would lose alot aswell because loads would just leave.. They can't predict whether they would profit out of it or actually lose out in the long run. Its a pretty risky move.
