At a glance I'm not sure about this.
At the moment, there are only three Normal News Reporters, no Heads and no Managers. Since last Monday which was the 24th of February there has only been seven News Reports. I'm not sure if it needs a very dedicated right now. What I would suggested doing is posting the news on the forum in the same fashion that Undertaker posts here. In the appropriate section.
I'll have a nosey posey around some of the other forums you're talking about tomorrow and see how it works for them. At the moment, I think News is a bit quiet for it but those of you in news, I'm not blaming you, you're doing a great job keeping it going with only three of you.
I'd very much like this, other forums have it and it starts a good conversation. As long as news reporters are the only ones who can start threads, but users can reply and discuss whatever it is that has been reported on - then great!
Kinda like the comps forum.

Well I am sure if the News Team was promoted on air and on Habbo it would probably give it a boost to the team![]()

I actually think this is a great idea. I don't think many HxF users even go onto habbox.com so they aren't seeing the news to be able to comment. Whereas, if it was posted on the forum, everyone that uses the forum is reading the news article and also commenting if they want to.

This is an idea that's been considered on numerous occasions. Definitely a great idea but has its pitfalls. Need a way to ensure that the most is taken from every article and people don't reply for the sake of commenting 'omg u so good at writin well done' as I've experienced first hand from other fansites. Give people a reason to properly discuss what is posted and it could work.
Maybe if it was moderated or needs approval by admins or w.e then if it is approved then it is posted. This is an idea that's been considered on numerous occasions. Okay, I've looked at four other fansites who have something like this.
Three of them it looked like they have a whole forum dedicated to news with a few different forums within it such as Celebrities, Habbo & Sport. As far as I can see, in these sections it looks like everyone can post whatever news they like therefore not the same as what we're talking here as it seems anyone can make the threads rather than just the News Team.
The fourth site I looked at did infact have a section on the forum especially for this where the News Staff would post their article and allow others to discuss. On that forum they have only had three threads so far this year and the threads that were posted had very little discussion.

The 2 sites I gave you has the forums for them that "ONLY" them who can make threads there. I tried to make a thread and it doesn't let me so I am guessing it is only news staff.

a few of the smaller, newer sites set it so only news staff can post/ set the perms so all new threads need to be moderated first. From my experience it just depends on what the media/news manager wants at the time.
I think it'll be a good idea, a way to keep some news on the main site is perhaps have Habbo news as mainsite only (as it isn't talked about as much) then real life news and perhaps interviews on the forum. Reviews may be better left on the main site as well?
