Default Do you have a favourite teacher?

If yes, who was it and why? What subject did he teach?

I like my Maths teacher simply because of his strong commitment to teaching. He made an effort to prepare extra maths exercises especially for weaker students and spent his sat and sun mornings to provide extra classes, giving attention to the weaker ones.
And he's also a pretty down to earth guy even tho he has quite a bad temper

My PD teacher. She likes to make everything a joke but I think she does it in a way which isn't annoying. She also comes across really passionate about what she does.
i used to put the names of my favourite singers here... then i realised nobody cared

either my film teacher or my media teacher

my film teacher is clearly so passionate about what he does and it's just amazing.. sometimes. like he (usually) really gets points across, as well as encouraging everyone to form their own opinion, rather than fall back on his or somebody else's (which is v good for the exam too!!)
he's also kinda funny, and doesn't take himself too seriously. it's just a great atmosphere in class with him most of the time. the only problem is he can often seem a little too opinionated, and dismisses others opinions if he's in a bad mood. also been very supportive to me.

media teacher is just great. like she's a very good teacher, gets through work quickly but makes sure everybody understands it and tries to involve everybody in the class! she's also been extremely supportive towards me, like honestly never thought a teacher would have been able to have given me so much support and encouragement. also is funny, like me and her get along well imo and we can always have a good chat. it's awesome. i didn't expect to get along with teachers this well

also very lucky that these 2 teachers will be on the LA trip w me next yr!

    got two really

my physics teacher is a really hilarious scottish guy who me and my best mate absolutely adore, he just sits there making fun of the crap people in the class so much but is also just a really amazing teacher

my maths teacher who teaches me stats, he is really serious about the stuff but still knows how to have a laugh and is so passionate about it and just makes us all love the subject tbh (even the ones who hated stats previously)

if including teachers i've had in the past too, then my maths teacher last year was the most lovely woman i've ever met tbh and made maths so interesting, and was the one who made me confident enough in my maths abilities to apply for cambridge, which i'm glad she did now i have an offer and everything

My history teacher who was lovely and always went extra mile for all his students. He was really passionate about the subject too. He even wrote me a letter when I graduated Uni saying really lovely things!

I have faves for every level. In 1highschool my art teacher who was also my form tutor. she was lovely and always said nice things about me to my parents, said I was talented and she knows I would go far. then she died of heart complications in her mid 20s and all my other teachers were just boring. I guess I liked my english teacher because he had an australian accent and really got me into reading.

at sixth form it was my psychology teacher. he was the classic decrepit-old-weirdo-professor type and most lessons consisted of him letting us do research and memory tests on eachother. he had a huge tie collection and would often change ties half way through the lesson just to see if anyone noticed. he called me the memory man.

I continued my a levels at college and found a new fave there, my sociology and personal tutor. she was a socialist and would always express her hatred for thatcher and the daily mail. I liked her cos she reminded me of my grandma and she put extreme effort into helping all of her students. she was really good at predicting exam qs as well.

and now at university my favourite is a 50+ lesbian that calls her students "kids" despite some being 30+ and really gets in there when it comes to discussing readings. she introduced me to the genius of erving goffman, she's hilarious and I love her.

Whilst I was at school I did yeah, my business studies teacher as well as my art teacher. At college I didn't really have a favourite as I only had two lecturers anyway, same with uni.
