The truth behind the game center closure

Here is a reply from an email a reporter from the fansite Habbid received after spamming half a dozen staff inbox's in reference to the closure of the game center. Thought it would be interesting to post it here, and see what you all think - especially as this fansite has been actively discussing the 4/4 event.

1 month ago, more or less, Sulake announced that Game Center would have an end on March 31 The reason for the closure:. was not explained by them, as they preferred to leave everything behind the scenes. Speculations were the most diverse and users who always played the Game Center, wanted to understand why Sulake was taking such an attitude that could be beneficial or not to Habbo.

After weeks of trying to contact the staff of Sulake, managed to get a definitive answer . Apart from the answer given by a member of staff of Sulake, he informed us that on 04/04 a novelty will improve all communities in Habbo Hotel and that certainly will completely change the direction of Habbo Hotel.

"Good morning friends Habbid.

It's time to open up to all of you and we'll tell the true story behind the closing of Game Center on Habbo Hotel. When we decided to bring back the Snowstorm, we thought it would be popular until the present day, something that would be addictive, and that users would then stick to the game.. but we fooled ourselves. With that idea, we started to launch new games and they were always popular for days and ended up being pushed aside by the users, and these users asked a lot to bring games to Habbo. Game Center should have already left Habbo long ago, but hopefully the dust of other problems that thereby lowering our selves announce the closing of another game entertainment tool. We were taking damage with it open, as it did not answer our expectations and the profit obtained through it was minimal, which did not benefit us nor the companies who spent months creating them.

Regarding the 04/04 event that is the talk in every Habbo community, we can not give anymore information about it. Not sure what 04/04 I asked kitchen and she said she knows duh! but she can't tell, I think it might be something to do with bringing Habbo to tablets and phones officially. Not 100% certain, it could also be another update like previous beta stages before with a whole new hotel design.

notMiceElf has been working on it since past christmas, so much so that he couldn't cooperate in the making of the clothes and the christmas furniture.
