    Secondly I'd like to know what makes you think that the above list are acceptable degree types and who you are to suggest a student taking other degrees not mentioned, are wasting their time? If the student is paying for the degree, and they wish to study it, who are you to question that?

    Don't question the expertise of the expert. Having the desire to do something and the ability to pay for it does not make it a good or sensible idea.

    Not that I necessarily agree with the OP but of course you can say that some degrees are a waste of time. You can pay to take a degree on fire engineering (basically teachers you about fire-fighting)... yet you don't even need it to become a fire-fighter. Waste of time and money if you ask me.
