Okay answer each one with what you'd do;

Scenario 1

You are walking to work. There is a dog drowning in the canal on the side of the street. Your boss told you if you are late one more time you're fired. Do you save the dog?

Scenario 2

You are an emergency worker that has just been called to the scene of an accident. When you arrive you see that the car belongs to your wife. Fearing the worst you rush over to see she is trapped in her car with another man.

She sees you and although barely conscious, she manages to mouth the words “I’m sorry”…

You don’t understand, but her look answers you question. The man next to her is her lover with whom she’s been having an affair.

You reel back in shock, devastated by what her eyes have just told you. As you step back, the wreck in front of you comes into focus. You see your wife is seriously hurt and she needs attention straight away. Even if she gets attention there’s a very high chance she’ll die.

You look at the seat next to her and see her lover. He’s bleeding heavily from a wound to the neck and you need to stem the flow of blood immediately. It will only take about 5 minutes to stop, but it will mean your wife will definitely die.

If you tend to your wife however, the man will bleed to death despite the fact it could have been avoided.

Who would you choose to work on?

Scenario 3

Heather is part of a four-person mining expedition. There is a cave-in and the four of them are trapped in the mine. A rock has crushed the legs of one of her crew members and he will die without medical attention. She’s established radio contact with the rescue team and learned it will be 36 hours before the first drill can reach the space she is trapped in.
She is able to calculate that this space has just enough oxygen for three people to survive for 36 hours, but definitely not enough for four people. The only way to save the other crew members is to refuse medical aid to the injured crew member so that there will be just enough oxygen for the rest of the crew to survive.

Should Heather allow the injured crew member to die in order to save the lives of the remaining crew members?

Scenario 4

Ken is a doctor. One of his patients, whom he has diagnosed as HIV positive, is about to receive a blood transfusion prior to being released from the hospital. He has told Ken, in the confidence of their doctor-patient relationship, that after he gets his transfusion, and his medicine from Ken, he intends to infect as many people as possible with HIV starting that evening.

Because Ken is bound by doctor-patient confidentiality, there is no legal way to stop this man from carrying out his plan. Even if Ken warned the police, they would not be able to arrest him, since his medical information is protected.

It occurs to Ken that he could contaminate his medication by putting an untraceable poison in it that will kill him before he gets a chance to infect others.

Should Ken poison this man in order to prevent him from spreading HIV?

Scenario 5

Mary is in a hospital lounge waiting to visit a sick friend. A young man sitting next to Mary explains that his father is very ill. The doctors believe that he has a week to live at most. He explains further that his father has a substantial life insurance policy that expires at midnight.

If his father dies before midnight, this young man will receive a very large sum of money. He says that the money would mean a great deal to him and his family, and that no good will come from his father’s living a few more days. After talking with him Mary can tell this man is in desperate need of the money to feed his family. The man asks Mary to go up to his father’s room and smother his father with a pillow.

Should Mary kill this man’s father in order to get money for the man and his family?

not sure what i'd do here, i think i'd rather risk dying than have to tell someone i'm not treating them because we need their air to survive. heathers prob a dumb ***** who miscalculated anyway

i'd leave him to do whatever he wants, hardly gonna kill someone over a threat. sure haven't we discovered the cure for hiv anyway

1) No and I would be confused as to where the canal had come from and why I had a job

2) Why am I on my own here and how do I magically know the state of both people despite them being inside the wreck this is not how medicine works

3) If you leave the rocks there he won't die unless it's of shock and you can't do first aid to save someone from that anyway THIS IS NOT HOW MEDICINE WORKS however I'd prob kill them all and make it look like they killed each other because then I have lots of oxygen just in case

4) Doctor-patient confidentiality is overruled by any behaviour that suggests a risk to the lives of the patient or anyone else, THIS IS NOT HOW MEDICINE WORKS I mean NOT HOW LAW WORKS

5) No it's a random stranger and a few days will not matter all that much considering how long it takes for probates to be processed so it wouldn't help anyone anyway

Seeing that the man had the worst of the accident I would tend to him first.

Scenario 3
Wouldn't he die anyways because the medical personnel are 36 hours away ? Since it doesn't say you have anything to use to save him. He will die anyways. So ya just let him die

Scenario 4
If I was Ken I would kill him before he attacks others because it's better to lose 1 than lose more

Scenario 5
No, no matter how bad he needs the money. Its not worth going to kill some random person over father for it. Just thinking of that in the back of your head knowing you killed a man just wouldn't set with me

Saving someone elses dog, whilst not only putting your own life in danger, but also making you lose your only source of income doesn't sound like a good plan to me anyway.
