Why Do We Call Black People "Coloured People" ?

Yah I'm pretty sure it may just be people who are uneducated call black people 'coloured', which is probably a very small minority

I remember malcom x saying that and read it before 2005!! Words change. At a time negro or coloured would have been more acceptable than black. Terms change from being acceptable to unacceptable. It's a really great poem though!

They used to be referred to as coloured in our grandparents time, but then people realised that white people tan, go blue, go green etc and were more mutli-coloured than black people ever will be.

Also, they are for all intents and purposes coloured seeing as black isn't technically accurate, but it sounds better than brown which is more accurate.
