Technically speaking they're still called awards, they're just part of the achievements system (Which is more accurately known as vbActivity anyway).

If it was set out how we said, the theory was that it'd build the community providing an incremental incentive to stay here and show off what Habbox has to offer while also providing the community with something to aim for. Atm, Tom's right, it's just the awards system with a different name but it doesn't have to be.

I like the awards better than the achievement system :/ I didn't see anything wrong with them.

What is it that people like more about the awards system? Is it the simplicity of being able to click the request award button?

the formatting of the awards tab looks better, having images on them, being able to see peoples awards on posts and the custom descriptions you can get
the achievements tab is all blocky and looks **** but getting tokens is good i guess

There isn't a major difference. You get tokens for achievements whereas you don't get anything for awards.

Ok that makes sense. I don't know if we can sort the formatting or bring the achievements to the postbit, but if it's at all possible then we'll certainly try. Images are going to be added soon so it'll look less ugly.

Personally I would have kept the Awards system, I didn't see a problem with it. In any case, we don't have to get rid of the existing Awards - why not simply discontinue them but still have them up? Simply make it clear that Awards that have been given out still stand, but that no more new awards will be awards. It's the same with what governments do when certain awards are ended (ie, the Star of India award).

because having two systems to do the same thing is pointless, if moving to achievements then get rid of all awards and remove the plugin and convert those awards to achievements.

We never needed a new system in the first place, it was just because someone saw something they liked on a forum that runs completely differently to ours and decided it would be a great idea to change it all around
