Gaza protesters run amok in Tesco and attack staff and police ‘because it stocks Israeli food’: Up to 100 demonstrators hunted after shoppers were left terrified by rampage

- Around 100 protestors gathered outside Tesco in Hodge Hill, Birmingham
- Some then entered the premises, threw stock around and 'got aggressive'
- More than 20 police officers were sent to try to control the demonstrators
- One of the Gaza protestors was arrested for assaulting an officer at store

Up to 100 demonstrators who ‘wreaked havoc’ in a Tesco store and attacked police officers in an apparent protest against its stocking of Israeli food are being sought by police.

Dozens of protestors gathered outside the supermarket in Hodge Hill, Birmingham, yesterday and could be heard calling on the chain to stop all trade with Israeli agricultural companies.

As the protest escalated, some demonstrators entered the premises and started hurling produce around and 'getting aggressive' - leaving both staff and shoppers traumatised.

It comes after a series of attacks on shops up and down the UK by protestors who are calling for Israeli produce and products to stop being sold in Britain.

It is understood similar protests have taken place outside Tesco stores in Rochdale, Sale, Luton and Blackburn, as well as outside Sainsbury’s in Birmingham and a shop called Kandem in Manchester.

Tesco sells a number of products which are sourced from Israel, including some fruit, peppers, potatoes and herbs, as well as a selection of branded goods. The supermarket giant said all Israeli sourced products are labelled in accordance with EU guidelines.

Photos of yesterday’s protest show more than 20 police officers trying to control demonstrators, while Tesco products are seen strewn across the floor.

West Midlands Police said one person was later arrested for assaulting its officers, while a further two had to be escorted from the premises.

Tesco customers took to social media to share their experiences of the protest against the Gaza conflict, which resulted in nearby roads being cordoned off by police.

One told Birminghamupdates.com: 'I was just in the Tesco in Hodge Hill, scanning my items and I heard chanting.

'Then a group of Asian men holding Palestinian flags came walking in and starting to push products over and getting aggressive with staff and shoppers.

'Police officers tried to stop them but I ran out.'

The protestors, many of whom were waving flags and placards, were repeatedly calling on Tesco to stop all trade with Israeli agricultural companies.

Mark Gardner, director of communications at the Community Security Trust, said dozens of reports of anti-Israel attacks on shops and supermarkets across the country had been reported in recent weeks.

Condemning the actions of the protestors, he said: ‘We have seen protestors claiming that all UK supermarkets are owned by Jews and that they give 25 per cent of their profits to the Israeli Army.

‘Then there is the violent intimidation as now witnessed in Birmingham. We are calling upon police to act swiftly against this and for politicians to stop encouraging such devises and dangerous moves.

‘It gives a chilling insight of the anti-Semitism that moves within these in circles.’

Earlier this month, Labour MP Shabana Mahmood, for Birmingham Ladywood, could be seen on film apparently supporting a protest outside a Sainsbury’s store in the city.

In footage of the protest, she can be seen excitedly telling the camera how the store had been forced to close early, resulting in thousands of pounds worth of loss, due to the protest.

Hmmm... Birmingham, Luton and Rochdale... something the Religion of Peace connects those areas to one another but I can't quite put my finger on what it may be. But here's yet another example thus proving one of my favourite sayings which is that if you bring in the third world, and you'll bring in their customs and ways too. Isn't it great? But at least we can pat ourselves on the back and say we're more diverse and tolerant (apart from the Jews who are at the recieving end), right?

And it's nice to see a Labour MP egging them on too, after all - gotta get the diversity vote, innit? Why do you think Labour brought so many of them in? For the economy? To make us more 'diverse'? Lol, it's pretty obvious when you think about it.

Interesting there hasn't been much coverage though, or talk by the politicians. Boy, if there had been attacks and incidents across towns and cities by say the EDL on Islamic shops..... would you see BBC cameras, politicians & talking heads all over the place.

Of course there's no excusing thuggish and idiotic behaviour, they're morons for doing that and should get fined for any damage they've caused, but let's not act like we're so above this, or that this sort of 'third world' behaviour is exclusive to Muslims. Funny isn't it how despite the large police presence, none seem to have been arrested for criminal damage.

Now I wonder why that is? Could it be that a certain 'Religion of Peace' will respond with violence/rioting if the Police took action?

Oh I wouldn't be so sure of it myself, after all a few years ago in the Netherlands when the Religion of Peace was criticised/insulted, mainstream media outlets even in America refused to even show the cartoon in question themselves out of fear of reprisals against their staff.

I can tell by your post Tom that you back the terrorists in Gaza who have been firing hundreds, if not thousands of rockets into Israel on a weekly basis as you were so absurd that you actually claimed that Israeli operations to disable Hamas rocket attacks amounted to genocide. Labelling the military operations of Israel in Gaza in recent weeks as genocide is worthy of Hamas propaganda itself. Delusional stuff.

If you want genocide, don't look to Israel who merely respond to constant attacks - and who operate on the basis of concise strikes, giving residents prior notice to a strike, look towards your friends in the Gaza who fire rockets weekly (without any warning given to the Jews) and who only haven't succeeded in killing hundreds due to the Israeli Iron Dome system that the Jews have had to build.

You claim that murdering thousands of civilians (70% of all deaths in this particular conflict), flattening homes and businesses, bombing UN shelters, shooting anyone who flees, breaking ceasefires within minutes as people are returning to their homes, and forcing survivors into smaller and smaller supposed safe zones (before bombing them) is an operation "to disabled Hamas rocket attacks" and I'm the delusional one.
