Which of these two characters featured as a big part in your childhood? When I was younger it was always Sonic for me, loved Sonic. I still will play the classic games but I will never play the newer games (Apart from Sonic 4). So yeah, Sonic for me!

Mario definitely, I still play on my SNES occasionally and I buy the new games that interest me. Here's to Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker coming soon woo

Mario sadly. As a kid I was a much bigger Sonic fan, but Sonic has got slightly crap over the series, generations was probably the exception, but the recent games haven't been good. Mario continues to deliver.
