    Default Happy St Andrews Day

Another British Patron Saint holiday tomorrow and it's St Andrews Day, the Scottish one. Are any Scots or even people from the rest of the UK celebrating it in anyway? I usually mark the patron saint days by flying the patron saint flags on my flagpole in place of the Union flag, but as i'm not home at the moment can't do this year..... instead i'll be finishing off a horrid essay. I wish we made a big deal about St George/Andrew/David as we do with St Patrick.

So yeah, any plans or just a normal day?

I once read about a plant I was buying which has huge leaves that in a Scottish town or village they use the massive leaves of the plant as umbrellas on St Andrews Day as they walk towards the celebrations. At least I think that is how the story goes, happens yearly apparently.

St Andrews day a British celebration day?
    Yer havin a giraffe!

The only time Britain noticed Scotland is when they wanted to leave, the rest is overshadowed.

Considering Scottish Britons contributed way above their smaller population size in the creation of the British Empire and the Industrial Revolution as well as many of our great statesman and Prime Ministers being Scottish (including the Royal Family) I have no idea where you got that from.
