Whether it be FM or online, what makes them stand out over the likes of popular music platforms like spotify?
What makes you want to listen to them if you can stream your own music? variety? unexpected tracks?

Radio 1 mainly for discussion and features rather than the music, have listened to the surgery religiously for years and tend to stick with chat-heavy djs who have teams or regular guests to support them like Scott mills and Greg James and occasionally nick grimshaw. Older shows imiss are Ricky gervais show, fearne and Reggie's chart show, chappers an Dave an of course the Chris moyles show. If I want music I have it at my fingertips and can choose what I listen to, I listen to radio for the banter an discussion.

I occasionally listened to Radio 1 in the car when I got bored of playing CDs, mainly due to discussion/comedy involved.
only listen to radio in the house, i'll most likely hear a song i wouldn't have thought of myself
radio 1 and sometimes when i'm bored at night i tune into LBC
I like to listen to radio 1 at work when fearne cotton does the live lounge
I love fearne cotton
And annie mac does some sweet mixs on saturday nights and it gets me in the mood to go out
Background noise, I can't use spotify when I'm trying to focus on essays because I spend so much time focusing on my music, radio saves me that problem, I'll be honest I'm usually a classic FM person although I never know what I'm listening to, upper beat stuff is only when I am doing things that require less focus or if I want to hear a bit of banter on radio
Macklemore Same Love
Like to listen to what other people have on, like the discussions and news and such. Forced to have radio 2 on at work though but if I get the chance in the warehouse I put radio 1 on
My mum listens to Chris Evans on Radio 2 in the mornings and so I listen as well and actually quite enjoy it just for something to break up the grumpy morning silence. If we're doing a longish car journey (60 mins+) then we'll listen to any comedy on as well.
Used to love listening to Real Radio for the wind-ups but I really don't like half of today's music so I tend to stick to my own stuff.
