Default Do you feel children should be sheltered from unhappiness?

Or do you thing it's a part of growing up to an extent?

I think it is part of growing up. If children are sheltered from becoming upset it will be even worse for them when even the smallest things hit them

Yeah I agree with Phil. If they were to be sheltered it would only get worse when something small hits them

To an extent of course yes but not completely. Like I know pets are often used as an example of something kids would get upset over when it happens but loss is something they have to be introduced to.

I hate to say it but I probably would shelter them quite a bit until a certain age.

I'm not entirely sure what you mean is it like holding them out of school and locking them away or something

Children and many adults need to be taught to suck it up and get on with it, we're raising a nation of big girls and moaners at the moment it seems.

Life sucks but your ancestors had it worse. Deal with it.

No. Like with anything, better to learn how to deal with it young.
