something like @events_dept; which will tag all staff in that department? wondering if this is possible as it would be much easier than tagging indivdually when wanting to alert the related department

There is a thing where you can PM a department if you type events_department in your sender box or something like that from what I remember although david, hoteluser made it and hes gone so it prob has its bugs. But I like your idea but idk how it will work
The PM feature still works. Although not sure how the tagging would work as at the moment it looks to see if their is a valid user when you do @Name;. If anyone can do it then, @Chippiewill; would probably have an idea how possible it is.

Just wondering, but in what instances would you need to tag everyone in a Department? It might be useful for managers to use in [R&R] threads to ensure they don't forget anyone, but why would community members need to tag an entire dept (unless it was like all of General Management in a feedback thread or all the Forum Moderators to address a rule break) ??
for me, i want to tag the whole events dept in my bundle giveaway and sometimes i also manually tag like all the graphics staff when i need a graphic so why not?? anyway its only one tag
