Apple could of probably released this last year, they could probably make a 40 gig one of these Nano's right now. The point is, they make the technology and release an average model, which receives all this hype and people buy it. Then they unveil a better model a few months later (Even though they could of released this better model previously instead), thus getting more money. People who buy this nano now will probably regret it by Christmas when a 20 gig one comes out or Creative hit back with sommit.
Also, the battery life is only 14 hours on them. I'd rather have the 16 extra gigs and 10 extra hours for £30 more on a creative zen touch.

As much as I love my iPod Mini, I'm not too happy with it.

Firstly I spent £179 on it just before Christmas, then in January it was cut to £139. Not only that but they doubled the battery life. Lucky me. Also, the the amount of charge the battery can hold decreases over time, which can be really annoying; fair enough if I could just take out the battery and replace it with a new one... But no, if I want a new battery I have to send off my iPod with about £60 and have it replaced by Apple.

I like the look of the iPod Nano, but just wait until after Christmas to get one.

Other than the iPod, the Sony Bean looks awesome. And it can play for 50 hours when it's fully charged, or 3 hours on just a 3 minute charge.

I have a zen micro and its awesome. Everything an i pod has and more plus its cheaper. Not shutting down i pods though, theyre cool, but everyone thinks im some sort of rebel for having something different :p I agree that the new i pod is too small, i feel like if i put it in my pocket and sat down funny, I would snap it in half. The length isnt bad, but they need to make it thicker. If its as thick as a pencil, it would probably snap like a pencil too. And does the nano take pictures? If not, why have a color screen? Lol. Seems like another excuse to make it more expensive.

i woz in dixons today looking at a new camera n decided to take a look at the new ipod nano it woz exact same price as the ipod mini in there but onli held 500 songs and the thing is the screen is so small on it the colour screen wont be as good in the way that u wont be able to see it as easy. i personalli think atm there a waste of money cause as there so small the colour screen dosnt show up and for 500 songs thats dam expensive.

but...woteva floats ya boat i supose.

You can't take pictures with the Nano, but the colour screen is just used as it is on the iPod Photo: it stores music cover art and up to
20 000 pictures or some ridiculous amount similar.
