    Default Starting work mid-month

I start a job on the 15th of this month and I've read that pay y is the last Friday of each month so would I be paid for the shifts I do before this or would I have to wait for the next full month to pass and get paid for a month and a half?

Thank you and sorry if I've phrased that terribly.
i used to put the names of my favourite singers here... then i realised nobody cared

It really does depend on your contract, workplace and if you've given your details on time etc.

What everyone else said - although I think you may get the shifts you've done at the end of the month now rather than next.

i'd imagine you'll be paid the half this month given there's a good amount of time between your start date and payday but I could be wrong! I remember I started work last year on the 22nd of August and I was still paid on the August payday.

You could've missed the cut-off period for this month if you're starting on the 15th, although it does vary with the individual companies. When I started working for a company years ago, I started on the 13th February and pay was at the end of every month. They ran it so you would get paid the last two weeks for the previous month and the first two weeks of the current month. So at the end of February you would be getting money from the end of January etc.

They'll most likely pay you extra the next month. I started on the 1st of each month for both of my positions so I can't really talk from experience but it seems the most likely thing they'll do

I got paid after my first full month working there, but still paid for what i worked before hand.
ie, my first pay was 5 weeks pay & i get paid every 4.
