Was the search zone close? It sounded like tons of countries were scanning a huge area. seems weird they missed it, maybe the aliens planted it much later on after their experiments?

On a more serious note, at least there can be some closure for the families now even if it's still a really tragic accident

Well, depends what you mean by close. Close to what? The only reason it's ended up on this island is due to water currants or whatever it is called which moves stuff like that.

Will they be able to work out the path itd have took and working out where it actually crashed? Then they'd be able to determine how close they were to discovering it at the time.

closure for the families at last! perhaps we will see more wreckage wash up along the african east coast and madagascar as well

Still can't actually believe its nearly a year and a half since this happened - such a genuine tragedy for everyone. Hopefully they'll be able to piece everything together and find what's happened.
