As has been said already, anyone was able to host events at the start of the year and it wasn't being used, so I chose to remove that option from staff, why would anyone join events if they could just host anyway? Community hosting was trialled and was not a success as no one was interested so it also was scrapped.

As we all know, Sammy has put a hell of a lot more into the department than anyone else and it is greatly appreciated, I have already put his name forward for when I resign next week and hope they make a good decision.

I think making decisions based on HxSS (and other big events) is futile as it's not representative of the day-to-day running of Habbox. As I have mentioned before, I think this issue is a much wider problem than staff indifference. Admittedly, departments have always been propped up by a minority of 'above and beyond' staff but Habbox is getting to the point where those staff are having to cover for a lot more people than they usually did. While I disagree with the idea, I do think it's a good point to bring up. If the community has to host such a huge proportion of events to keep it going, that's a shame. I stopped being staff because it was just depressing how this sort of thing is becoming more and more like the norm at Habbox with little being done to counteract it.

On the plus side, I have been really impressed with some of the more original events from people for this HxSS. I haven't been super active this year as I've decided to move on and just become a forum lurker (aside from the occasional login, I'm just not interested in Habbo). It's usually just Plebings who tries new original ideas for events (most of them sublime) so it was nice to see Jord's duck game which is nervewracking lmaoo and the others.

It's going to die down after HxSS and no one will want to host, it's the same old scenario. There are ways to get people into the department and I actually do have some ideas how we can try and achieve that. I was also impressed with the unqiue events hosted by some of the members. I have jotted them all down and I hope they get implemented very soon.

Problem is not 100% type of events, it's variety in hosts.

I have already given suggestions to improve membership. Even if they would not work or management tried their own things, at least the community (and staff) would be able to see that attempts are being made. If you click the link, you can see why I think this is not currently happening.

    I agree with Kyle here.
There is something that we are missing in terms of getting the number of EO's. I know for me the only reason I left hosting is due to the change in staff..
It's hard to work for someone who isn't motivated in their position.
