Why Bethany Hamilton should never have been on Amazing Race

I'm going to steer away from a discussion regarding the validity of this bigoted person's backstory, but in the meantime I'm going to point out the laughable fallacies of her being kind hearted soul(God help us all if people like her can enter heaven.). This girl has nearly 70 million USD, from Soul Surfer sales alone. She had her family push the envelope of keeping God in the movie, and then shoved it down people's throats in her book "Body and Soul". The film portrays ethany as being extremely angry at the idea of getting a PAID FOR prosthetic arm, because it wouldn't help her surf the slightest. Seriously, the one thing that could be making your life a thousand times easier is given o you at no cost, and you decline it for the better standard of the sport that nearly killed you? Add this to Bethany publicly stating if she had the chance to reverse the events o losing her arm, she'd let that shark attack her again.

The thing is, she was overrated on Amazing Race too:
Leg 2: She loses a shoe. lol
Leg 4: She was useless. She failed to do the self drive task by going slower. She couldn't do the cake/bike task, could not pay attention to detail on the other detour, and refused to do the roadblock because it would have been too mentally hard for her. Cries at pitstop.
Leg 6: Complains detour is hard and contemplates switching again. She almost refuses to do the roadblock as well, which I'm pretty sure she only did it at Adam's prodding. She almost panics when she gets to a point where she has to maneuver with 1 arm, and realizes she's afraid of heights.
leg 7: Nearly in last, doesn't use express pass.
Leg 8: Drops the plate right at the end. Cluelessly remarks the nearly impossible detour looks like fun.
Leg 9: She can't even find a good flight, and ends up on the last flight. Production handpicked a fast forward that only she could complete, and risks taking it despite knowing another team was likely there.
Leg 10: Racism: "I didn't pick that detour because the water here is gross." Feminism: Somehow she thinks guys should be doing handiwork instead of girls.
Leg 11: Forgets roadblock clue.
Leg 12: Arrogant the entire leg. Man recognizes her and says his daughter is a fan, but she doesn't care and instead just asks for directions. She mentally breaks down at the memory task, and causes her and Adam to lose.

And she still wants to go on All Stars. Oh, and since she's a devoted Christian she probably hates LGBT.

The season she was in was already modified to be easier for her. 3 legs had no roadblock in order for her to have less work to do. I know the show is hard, but if you're going to complain or panic in practically every situation where it's just you doing the work, you shouldn't be on the show. Don't get me wrong though, she excelled at every physical task.

As for the racism: The race had visited a poor area of the Philippines and she knew the poverty was bad on the way to the detour. The only water Bethany is used to beach water - what right would she have to nitpick on their water?

That's still not racism in any way. If she'd said "these pinoys have made the water disgusting because they're a disgusting people" that would be racist, but simply making an observation that the water isn't nice is nothing like racism

I think your missing the point. She'd do the same thing if it were, say, India. Even on the race, she's shown practically no interest in her competitors. Amy & Maya, for example, gave her a shoe to compensate for the one she lost, but when she sees them a few legs later: "Oh, the candy scientists are here". She made no effort to encourage anyone, ever. It was only in leg 10 that Adam at least wished everyone else good luck. I don't know if her troubles are lack of confidence, lack of education, or both, but she definitely has shown narcissism on the race.

If she'd do the same thing no matter where she was then it's even less likely to be racism that's the point we're discussing here, not whether she's a bit mean to people sometimes

The logic of a girl who's education is lacking: Unclean country = little attempt to depollute water. Even India does their laundry in unclean stuff.
