What are your views on retro hotels?

Honestly, I think they should all be closed down.

If everybody who played on the retro's and played on the actual hotel then Habbo would be a much better and much more popular
place to be.

Completely disagree with them making a profit from the members also.

I don't see the problem with them as long as it's for personal use only and you're not making financial gain. I'm not sure Habbo would agree.

There is retros still around for sure - You can often find them using official fansite graphics which is always a laugh. I've never played on them or needed to. I guess I can see why some people create them and do play on them. I remember private WoW servers and they were pretty cool.

I remember when I was like 11 my friend was like !!!! u should play <retro>
so i played it and i loved it cos i used to make like schools and invite peeps and it was just really fun
so then i just moved around the retros and got staff, got some good friends but then i realised habbo was there (i legit thought these retros were the only things) but realised you had to pay so it put me off a lot
but then i came on habbo once as expling and liked it so left the retros and stayed at habbo, not bad as all my friends from there still chat to me on skype nd that

but yeah they're not as bad as what people make out and sulake really hate them, i remember the retro getting emails telling them to remove stuff and that haha
they do get a financial gain yeah but it's like habbox, they get the money to keep the server and protection up and whatever else - they don't really get much 'profit' (especially the small ones anyway with like 10 users)

wouldn't recommend them personally as they're literally just a place for mongs who like to destroy the internet (with kids moderating :/)

But isn't having everything furni-wise a bit boring? Half of the fun of owning furni on Habbo is earning it

if im honest when i was there i didn't notice because it was just normal to enter rooms and have 100 thrones sitting there!
but now I'm at Habbo, I do often look back and realise how sily the economy was - everyone was rich because you got like 200 crdits every 15mins you were online
literally, if you playd you'd have like 7387 rares

so yeah, when I was there I didn't notice but now I'm just like wtf that's so boring
