-whether it was a bigbig catfish or lil catfish, have u ever catfished before? im sure a lot of people have lied about something surely @Elegance;
so when I first joined habbox I wanted do be a DJ and obv in times of DJ Jess (with hurricane applying over 100 times and still unable to get in) a lil 10 yrold was never gonna get in
so I resulted in lying n saying I was 16
lasted for about a week then came clean n people found out how old I am
I haven't faked pics though or anything like that just my age for about a week until people were like you obv aren't 16
I Was Still Typing Like This And Thought I Could Get Away With It (don't get me started on my spelling lmfao)

on tsr and yahoo answers I fake a name but I don't talk to anyone on it or whatever it's just incase people I know use it I'd rather they not know its me lmfao although seeing as I'm a rubbish catfish I posted on the welcome thread thing for me "my name isnt ___ just call me g"

have you ever thought about catfishing? do you understand why people do it? what do you consider catfishing (to what extent)?
i find it really interesting finding out why peeps do it uno a lot of peoples say bc of low confidence and lack of self esteem
and then eventually it spirals and you cant get out of it and i end up feeling really bad for the person because you just feel trapped in your lie n obv it'll escalate
have u ever been close to someone who ended up catfishing you?? how did it feel like did you end up understanding/forgiving??

for the whole chels situation it seems like a loooot of people have forgiven and just more interested in the justification as to why she did it

yep used to do it when i was 14 or so, couldn't sleep so would go on chat rooms (forgot the name of it but u could go up ranks) and pretended i was 26, it was just my fave age at that time?? and id flirt with older men but like yeah, it made me think how men that lie about their age online are seen as beasts but there are females that pretend to be legal and lead on men but nothing is done or said about it? i feel bad about doing it now cause it's no very fair on the other people tbh.

only thing about chels and other catfishes that bothers me rly is when they lie about awful things eg deaths, illness etc.

I have a secondary account which I use for other fansites so they don't think the GM of Habbox is spying on them LMAO, it's got a diff name and stuff and I've posted on that account a couple times. I don't think I've lied about anything else though??

I understand why people do it definitely and it doesn't really bother me if they want to hide/withhold stuff as long as it's not done in a malicious way... I guess I just find it really easy to forgive and just be like whatever you're now known by this name

when i first joined habbox i knew that p much everyone was going to be older than me bc i was only 11, so i refrained as much as possible from telling anyone my age until mcdonalds asked me and i panicked so i just copied whatever age she said and then she asked me what gcses i was taking and i panicked bc i didn't know what gcses were at the time so i was just like ye i lied sorry

prior to habbox i did a lot of roleplaying on habbo and i told people i was like 16 and i created a piczo with my cousin's pictures because she's really pretty (my cousin was completely aware of this and fine with it). the only justification i have for ever catfishing is that i came online to make friends but i didn't think people would accept me if they knew i were 9 at the time, which i was

to me, lying about a name isn't catfishing but i used to call myself by my middle name on twitter so people from my school wouldn't find me bc there were some nasty people in one of my classes who used to stalk my social media

when i heard chels catfished i was more upset about feeling like i'd lost a friend because she decided to leave habbox than the fact that she lied about anything, but we reunited now so hey ho!!

Well, I indirectly lied about my age as you had to be 16+ or 18+ to be a Habbo X I believe and I obviously lied about my age when I signed up to Habbo. I have no recollection of me outright faking my age though.
