I can pretty much go to my sister, boyfriend and mum and be like "Oh yeah Laura said this and that" and my sister and boyfriend know who I mean, and my mum will be is that the friend you met in London and I'm like yeah. My ex knew about @lawrawrrr; too. It's really just 'friend' now the online part has dropped a lot. Like last year when Laura sent me a birthday card and present they were all interested then with the Christmas card my mum insisted on reading it and agreed with her and that!
I can talk to my sister about Cerys a lot as literally she has met her too, my boyfriend knows about her and how we met and I always say "Cerys said this and that to him, oh and then she did this blah blah." Always joke about @Cerys; coming and stalking us too and he joins in and says should I hide somewhere when she's near?
I have a Habbo friend that I knew his brother irl first and I can mention him to my sister easily as we have accidentally met a few times too.
Most of my friends are Habbo/Habbox ones so I can say to my sister @FlyingJesus; (yes she knows you by that name, as she played Habbo/came on Habbox before it's easier just to say Habbo names too) did this, broke this ruleetc.
I don't really have any problem with mentioning people, it's never really come up how I know them - my closest friend at work knows I have a friend who I met online called Laura and he knows I've played/play Habbo too.

etc.
