Welsh Assembly: Deadlock in vote for First Minister

Labour is being blocked by a coalition of the Plaid, Conservative and the new Ukip bloc over choice of First Minister

On Friday, he spoke of having discussions with Plaid Cymru and Ms Williams to decide the way forward, but was not seeking any formal coalition.

Mr Jones remains first minister until assembly members vote to re-appoint or replace him.

AMs have 28 days following the election to decide on a first minister.

If there is no agreement, the UK government's Welsh Secretary can call a fresh election.
    Hahaha excellent. Keep blocking them.

I was so happy with the results in Wales not just because of the new Ukip bloc but more for the fact that here is an area of of the country that has long for been taken granted by Labour and now the cosy arrangement for life is being ended. Well done on Plaid, the Tories and Ukip for blocking.

    Thoughts?

Apparently 12-14=-3 and 11-11=1 according to that image. Either way, not too fussed as I don't live in Wales and I don't actually know what the Welsh Assembly has done that wasn't simply them trying to find something to do (I'm sure there is, I just don't keep up).
