Qatar is going to be forced to become an island

Qatar is going to be turned into an island country

Neighbouring Saudi Arabia is going to dig a huge canal to cut the country off in bitter feud

Yes, this is actually happening. The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, which shares a border with the State of Qatar, is going to basically dig a massive canal and turn Qatar into an island country - because it is majorly pissed off at Qatar.

That's totally **** nuts but also kinda hilarious, and pointless seeing as they can only do it in Saudi territory so it won't have any effect on Qatar

No man is an island

after living in Qatar for the best part of two years, I know why they aren't willing to back down. The community is very strict, they're always right and nothing in reality will change for a long long time.
