Inspiration for this design came from two real rockets; the retired Saturn-V which first took man to the moon, and the new Falcon Heavy rocket recently debuted by SpaceX.
The base is wired to move up and down in sync with the flames as they turn off and on, respectively. It all runs in a fully automatic and constant cycle.
