Worst Christmas gift?

So we've had a thread about the best Christmas gift you've ever received, but what's the worst one you've ever gotten?

I think I've gotten a gift card to a restaurant that wasn't super close to the side of town I lived on, so I gave it to my best friend. It wasn't worth it for me to go out of my way to the restaurant and he liked to drink after work there so he got more use out of it!

I think mine was a Giftcard too, it was for a shop that I don't shop at and never will. I'm fairly confident that the person who gave me it already had it laying around and decided to re-gift it.

I'd much prefer to receive no gift from someone than them to re-gift me something. It's so unthoughtful and a little offensive. I honestly don't care about the gift or how much something costs, I'd much rather someone tell me they can't afford anything this year than to give me tat.

Heck, I've told people I have priorities and I do me first, so I entered December with no presents purchased (Still haven't) but have got 6 nights out planned this month, and a whole £38.23 to my name. I just hate being at that age where I feel obligated to buy my whole family gifts for Christmas, but also at the age where my bank account doesn't feel obligated to support that. As a result I only buy for people extremely close to me, which isn't a lot of people because I keep my inner circle very tight.. I think it currently stands at like 5 people, and this included my mum and dad lol.

But I tend not to buy people tat because I hate receiving it, so I don't gift it either. Plus because I only buy for people I'm really close with, I obviously know exactly what they like and often what they want, if not I'll just ask them
