Here's the story of what happened today:
Normally, headteachers detentions are on Thursdays (Headteaches detentions are half an hour after school). A few days ago, me and my brother recieved letters that we had a headteachers detention today. We have a dentist appointment today at quarter to five, we missed it. Wanna know why?
We came into school today and found out the headteachers detention will be held tomorrow, but on the note we brought back in it says my mum will pick us up at 4:20pm, so we had to have it today, WITH AN EXTRA HALF HOUR! Anyways I said to my form tutor "Can't we go to the office and ring up my mum to tell her that we don't have it today?" only to get a reply "WHY SHOULD THE OFFICE WASTE THEIR TIME FOR YOU?!" I began to argue, why should we get an extra half hour added on for no reason?
Anyway after an argument I got sent to refferel room for two lessons, aswell as my friend who got in a fight with a year 11 and threw hot chocolate all over the year 11, although the year 11 pushed him through a fence and shattered the fence. Anyways. After being sent to referrel, I went back to my lessons. After school I went to my detention. Waited till half past four, 10 minutes past my deadline, and a teacher still hadn't came in to tell us to leave. I looked out the window and saw my mum walking away back to her car. I got my bag and told my brother to come so we ran out the detention and ran outside. Only to find she had driven away!
So I waited outside the school with my jumper and tie off, so I wasn't in uniform. I couldn't go back in, the headteacher will scream at me. We had to hide being our bags everytime a teacher drove away. A teacher eventually pulled over and said to us our mum came in, she got told that the detention wasn't on today, and that we must of gone home. She got told this while we were still in school. So anyways, I went back in and tried to avoid beign caught by any teachers. I went to the office and rang my mum. No answer. So I left a message (Very rare for me to do). I then walked to the train station knowing my mum had gone.
I got to the village and was hungry, so went into the local Spar to get a packet of crisps. I walked out and my mum was in her car driving away. I shouted her but she never noticed. So I had to get the train and bus home. I eventually got home, an hour after the dental appointment was supposed to be. All because the school told my mum that the detention wasn't on today.
The conclusion, and something I learned from this:
My school is stupid!
