For this final task, each contestant is responsible for winning 75p to the group prize fund, meaning that there is £3 up for grabs in this task making £30 up for grabs in the whole competition.
Each contestant has been private messaged 6 wikipedia pages which have been numbered from 1 to 6.
Contestants must find a Wikipedia Chain that starts at the first Wikipedia page, goes through the Wikipedia pages numbered 2 to 5 and ends at the Wikipedia page numbered 6.
A Wikipedia Chain consists of starting on the first Wikipedia page and clicking a link to another Wikipedia page. You are only allowed to continue the chain by clicking links to other articles on Wikipedia.
For example, if the first Wikipedia page for a contestant was 'Skin' and the second Wikipedia page for a contestant was 'Multinational corporation', the following chain of Wikipedia articles can be used to get from the first page to the second:
Skin → Sonic hedgehog → Sega → Multinational corporation
In order to add funds to the group prize fund, contestants must reduce their wikipedia chain to the shortest length possible.
If a contestants chain contains 25 links or less, 75p will be added to the group prize fund.
30 links or less adds 60p to the group prize fund.
35 links or less adds 45p to the group prize fund.
40 links or less adds 30p to the group prize fund.
45 links or less adds 15p to the group prize fund.
All Wikipedia pages count as a link in the chain, so in the above example there are 4 links in that Wikipedia chain.
A contestant must bold their final Wikipedia chain in this thread to count as their submission. Once an answer is submitted that contains all 6 Wikipedia pages, their answers is submitted and cannot be changed.
This task will end at 8pm BST on Thursday 30th April or when all contestants have submitted their Wikipedia chains.
Good luck!
