Ethel Caterham turns 117

Born in 1909 under the reign of King-Emperor Edward VII, she is currently the oldest Briton ever and is the oldest living person in the world



I actually thought all Edwardians had gone by now to be honest. She's lived under 6 reigning monarchs.

Crazy to think she was born 3 years before RMS Titanic sank and 8 years before the Russian Revolution.

The oldest person ever record is still held by Jeanne Calment, a French lady who lived to 122. C'mon Ethel!
