I agree with Thrilled. Those 5, and of course Morissey and others ARE better songwriters than Billy Joe, altough he does write good songs. That's MY opinion. I'm not telling others to acknowledge my opinion. A few others like Robert Smith and Michael Hutchence are great too. I'm just stating that if you think that Billy Joe is one of the best songwriters you oughta compare him to others and then you'll get it.

It's fact Joe Strummer is a better songwriter than Billie Joe. It's fact Johnny Rotten is a better songwriter than Billie Joe. Obviously it's not complete fact as it can't be accurately proven but it's basic punk intelligence, douche. You are a little girl from what I've heard. Going on about Billie Joe being better than Joe Strummer. You're basically saying he's the greatest song-writer in history? Think about it. Hey, you might of heard of The Clash? Or The Ramones? They were pretty good punk artists of the 70's and 80's incase you haven't. If it wasn't for them, you're precious Green Day wouldn't exist.
