God I love that song. It's one of the best grunge song ever, easy. Superb solo, nice vocals and amazing lyrics. The story behind it is extremely sad but it expresses the true talent of Vedder. Everytime I hear the chorus "Jeremy spoke in class today" it saddens me to think of that day and how the kids must have felt. The guilt is unimaginable. It's a similar story with Blink 182's Adam's Song, it just summed suicide up perfectly. I presume anyone who cares about either of the songs knows the story behind them, if not, I'm sure one of us could explain.

I think "Adam's Song" (the only Blink song I like) is pretty self explanatory.

As for "Jeremy" I'll be nice enough to explain for those that don't know. It simply boils down to a kid that got bullied in school, came in one day, and shot himself in the front of his class. I just watched the unedited version of the video a few hours ago since I play my 8 hour long tapes of recorded videos while I'm on the computer.
