People are ridiculously stupid these days and need to learn that hair is a thing on our head that is part of who we are. You don't just make us cut it.

If you boys are getting forced to cut your hair,
just stick with the simple phrase,

boys with long hair have never been allowed here. in my school, a boy's hair must never touch the uniform's collar, must never touch the eyebrows or the ears. girls with long hair must tie them. failing to do so will result in detention or the phoning of your parents.

this rule is about the same for every government school in singapore, so i'm pretty much used to it. singaporeans, bah, we're too used to following the law and being 'good', there are so many ridiculous laws around. i'm sure you people have heard of the famous chewing gum ban in singapore.

i would love for them to ban chewing gum in the uk. my sister makes horrible noises when she chews it. i'm not keen on the hair rules though... i'd have had many a detention in singapore, and my hair isn't even that long.

Okay, I'm just going to say that's completely ridiculous. And I agree with all the before posts, yeh, it's sexist...
My brother had long hair. He got in some trouble with the police, and made my brother cut his hair.
My brother wasn't going to do it, but my dad stepped in and forced him to.. (ugh; yes, the forceful father.)

So yeh. The poor boy looks like he's in fourth grade all over again, and he's a freaking junior in High School.. the police man said that he had to cut it because his hair would encourage him to be like, rebellious? I mean, what the hell is with that? "Long hair is rebellious, so that will encourage the owner of the long hair to be rebellious also."

Not only does that get the award for stupidest thing I've ever heard,
but seriously..
