If it's your first time as a Manager, know one can really know in all honesty whether you will be successful or not, until you begin to settle in to the role, hopefully your superiors kept an eye on you and asked how you was doing, which would of been your opportunity to get help if you really needed it! I'm sure you did your best, learn from it and good luck in the future
