Thats glory hunting in my mind, changing teams because their winning i don't see the point. you could argue that it would make going to matches better because a win is always good but it takes away the meaning of being a loyal fan.

I don't think you need to live somewhere to support the team as the team you support is a preference. Also supporting a team you live nowhere near could start with family living near that team then generations of the family move to different places.

i suppose if their both local teams you could enjoy watching both teams play. there is no rule that says you can only support one team so i guess glory hunting is just critisism for something different from what the person saying it is used to.

A glory hunter is a term used towards people who are, or who are suspect to, supporting a particular football club due to its size, quality and/or popularity in the media. Glory hunters usually live outside the town where a particular team is from, and may, in fact, live in a different country altogether.
A second generation glory hunter is a term used towards people who are, or who are suspect to, supporting a succesful football club although having no obvious affiliation with the team and giving their reason for supporting such team as it also being their fathers chosen team. Second generation glory hunters usually live outside the town where a particular team is from, and may, in fact, live in a different country altogether.

    from wiki, with love.
